What Data We Collect

When you use Paisanomy, we collect:

Account Info

Your email, name, and password (password is encrypted — we can't read it).

Financial Data You Enter

Income, expenses, loans, EMIs, investments, savings, and insurance amounts. You type these in yourself.

Usage Data

Basic info about how you use the app — which pages you visit, when you log in. This helps us improve.

What We Don't Collect

We never ask for or collect:

Your bank account login or password
Your credit card numbers
Your PAN, Aadhaar, or other ID numbers
Your transaction history from banks
Access to your bank accounts

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

Calculate your financial health score
Show you your dashboard and charts
Give you tips on what to improve
Send you emails (only if you want them)
Make the product better for everyone

How We Protect Your Data

Encryption

All your data is encrypted when stored (AES-256) and when sent over the internet (TLS 1.3). This is the same level of security banks use.

Access Control

Only you can see your data when you log in. Our database has "row-level security" which means each user's data is separate.

Secure Hosting

We use Vercel for our website and Supabase for our database. Both are trusted by thousands of companies worldwide.

Being Honest With You

We want to be fully transparent:

→We can access your data — To calculate scores and fix bugs, our servers process your numbers. We can technically see them if needed for support.
→It's not end-to-end encrypted — True E2E encryption would mean we can't calculate anything for you. We chose functionality over E2E.
→We use analytics — We track how people use Paisanomy (not your financial data) to make the product better.

Who We Share Data With

We don't sell your data. We share it only with:

Supabase — Our database provider (they store your data)
Vercel — Our hosting provider (they run our website)
Law enforcement — Only if legally required

That's it. No advertisers. No data brokers. No "partners".

Your Rights

You can:

See your data — It's all there in your dashboard
Download your data — Export everything anytime
Update your data — Change anything in your profile
Delete your account — We'll remove all your data permanently
Stop emails — Unsubscribe from any email we send

Cookies

We use cookies for:

Keeping you logged in — So you don't have to sign in every time
Remembering your preferences — Like dark mode
Analytics — To understand how people use the app

We don't use cookies to track you across other websites.

Children

Paisanomy is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you're under 18, please don't use Paisanomy.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. For big changes, we'll email you.
